Today I had my first at home weigh in since surgery a month ago tomorrow....
I've lost 28 lbs in 30 days... 54 from my initial preop weight.
Yep... Becca is doing a happy dance :) :)
It has been an amazing month on the craziest roller coaster I've ever been on! I think the hardest part to wrap my head around is the way my body is changing and shrinking so fast!
And folks.... Never ever question the need to do the head work! It is so easy to see already how important this part is! Surgeon was right, surgery IS the easy part... its the head trip after that's work! But worth it! i am so excited to see what the next few months hold :)
I totally expect my loss to slow down this coming month. I had gained like 50+ lbs last fall when my thyroid tanked. I am now back to where I was before that happened. NOW it gets real! LOL! :) :)

congratulations and great job.
so your in grad school for psychology? are you going to or have you thought about working with gastric bypass patients therapy wise? I think you would be phenomenal there.
I just took my measurements and from the 7 spots i measure I have lost 12 " since the day before surgery! 3.25 off my hips alone! :) :)
Katlin, Actually I am finishing off my BS... headed to grad school next (2014) fall... But yeah, I am hoping to get a internship with a (my?) bariatric center . I tried to now, as a senior undergrad... but they said yes, AFTER I am in grad school :) :)
I think it would be wonderful to help others... which of course would help keep it real for me and keep me on track! :)
