Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
Can you remind us of your stats tho?
Date of surgery, amount you have lost, how long its been since you've lost any... How much protein you are getting in... ya know, all that stuff?
That might help those more experienced to help you...

Other than that...DONT PANIC! Personally I feel that obsessive weighing can be detremental! You will have stalls and plateaus along the way and usually during these you are still shrinking. Take and record your body measurements and remeasure every month or so and record. You will be amazed. d
I would say get rid of the scale for awhile.... It is not worth it... Just focus on doing exactly what you are supposed to.... I do my very best to only get on the scale once a week, and I measure once a week as well.... If I got on the scale daily, I would be crazy... I tried that in the beginning and could barely live with myself...
Can you take an exercise class, or work with a personal trainer.. It almost sounds to me that you aren't getting enough exercise... I know how difficult it is with bad knees, but I find that water exercise really helps me....
And another thing I found was that I wasn't eating enough.... Your body could be in starvation mode if you are eating next to nothing... When I added veggies to my food, and upped the amount I was eating just a bit, my body started losing again.... And make sure you are eating three times a day....Is there a nutritionist you can talk to?
I get very confused as to the amount and what I am supposed to eat... So I sat down with my nut and she showed me the size portions, and really tried to help me... And I truly believe it has helped me....
Good luck... Be good to you.... Don't give up....
Stick with you plan and I bet the number start to roll down.
Plateaus stink! I am almost 6 months out and been on one a while. Just today got back down to my lowest number. I had a gain for some reason! We are all pulling for you!
