Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
How much have you lost overall? Everybody has stalls. You're not a failure if you have one. Stick to your program and you should start again soon. The body sometimes needs a breath to catch up with you!
Are you exercising?

it very well may be the time of this sad anniversary may be the trigger...and you know what?..its ok...stress and stuff can be delt with sometimes with food...some use booze....some use drugs...when my dad passed away last summer it was beers for me..did it help...i dont know...prolly not..but we all cope in different ways...you just keep on doing what you need to do..you WILL be fine...and soon you will be back on track...im sure of it!!
Maybe you need to put the scale away for a liitle while. It can be discouraging when your not seeing progress. Have you taken measurements? When we reach a stall if the scale isn't moving, it's nice to see the inches coming off. Stalls are temporary and it's our bodies way of saying "I need a break". Once your body adjusts to the changes the scale will move again. Also the futher along you are the slower the scale moves. Hang in there, you'll see the numbers moving again.

I talked w/ my NUT and friends who have had RNY and got a good kick in the butt. LOL Any loss is a loss -- stop focusing on numbers or dates. I put the scale away and I'm just not going to weigh again outside my surgeon appts. That was my plan in the beginning of this journey and I got sucked in by all the :"how much have you lost" comments. 80 lbs is great -- it's 80 lbs my body doesn't have to carry, my heart doesn't have to pump for or my knee have to endure.
I am stressed --- Randy, work ... life in general but honestly, that's all the time so I just need to find a way to deal. I've been riding my exercise bike before work, trying to walk more after work -- my work hours stink for exercising. LOL
Thanks to everyone for the words of support ~ I'm still on the journey :)
