Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
You can do whatever you put your mind to accomplish, but read the stories and don't compare your situation to others. Everyone is unique and loses weight at a different rate. Just know you have the support and friends you need to help.

I agree with Maggie, and believe that with the help of this group, especially, you can do whatever you put your mind to accomplish.
It takes time for all of us to progress, but the folks here are absolutely wonderful for encouragement and support as we make our journeys.
Wishing you the best,
Becky
Follow the program, eat only the allowed foods and allowed amounts. As much and as often as you can, exercise. Walk, exercise DVD's, YMCA, treadmill, etc. Just raise your heart rate and burn those calories. Exercise makes a huge difference, and releases endorphins from the brain which improve your mood and just make you feel good!
Stick to SF popsicles, SF Jello, and when you are allowed, veggies between meals. Look at meals as just adding fuel to your body, not for the enjoyment of eating. That's a super hard thing to do, especially after enjoying food as much as we did. But try to.
You'll be in onederland before you know it, and we'll all be cheering! Then you can work on the 2nd hundred.
Good luck,
Teri
I keep imagining this 180 lb man that I've been carrying around on my back all these years. Who is this jerk anyways... LOL. Dosn't he know that it's been killing me to carry his butt around.
Good luck! You can do this!
It will be a fight, but I'm up to the challenge!!! We can do it together!!! :)
