Hey everyone, so I am still pre-op my surgery is scheduled for the 30th of this month. I start my two week diet on the 16th. So I know that its normal to be scared and feel worried and nervous before surgery but is it normal not to feel any of those things? I thought I would start feeling nervous when my date got closer since I had to wait 6mos but nope nothing. I'm not scared or nervous. I am a little worried about the two week diet but that's about it. Has anyone else felt the same?

I didn't worry much, I was more excited about what would happen after, My surgery was in august and from the beginning of my journey(when I decided to have surgery) until now I'm down 70 pounds and 4 sizes. Good luck. No worries

I was the same as Ruby. I was ready for the change and knew I was making the right choice, which probably gave me the peace of mind before surgery. Good luck and welcome to the journey.

Try to think about your goal. It makes the two week deal a lot easier. For me the 2 week pre op diet was the hardest part.
Hang in there you can do it. To be nervous is normal.

Thanks guys, I was starting to think something was wrong or that I would freak out at the last min. Thankfully my two week diet isn't just liquids. Its food that i have to buy from my center but it has liquid and solid food. Thank you everyone, I think coming on here everyday and reading what everyone writes outs me at ease.

From now and until the surgery, the number of emotions you're going to feel is immeasurable. I felt everything from happy to sad, elated to scared, excited to nervous, ecstatic o angry. It's all normal.

I am having my sleeve surgery one week from tomorrow! Next week at this time I will be on the clear liquad phase of the diet! Intellectually I am well prepared.,,,However, my emotions are ALL over the spectrum!!!!!! My biggest worry is I will have the surgery and not loss any weight!! I know that is irrational but it swirls around in my head all the time! I am excited though and know it will be ok!!

I was the same way! No feelings of nervousness or being scared, I was more looking forward to getting it done so that I can could move on with my life and start enjoying my journey into my new life. Looking forward to having my goals being met.

My surgery is a week from today! I am on the partial liquid diet.

I'm excited, but now I've had my pre admission appointment with the hospital yesterday, it all seems real!!!!

Bought my groceries I will need for Stage one, and some after...Have everything lined up..got car registration done, getting car window fixed tomorrow, of course...my window won't roll up!! LOL!! Got xmas shopping pretty much done today!

So much to do!! I think I'll need the rest, after surgery to recover from all of this stuff we do to prepare!!

Good luck, it's normal, and you will do fine!!!
