has anyone had any issues with bad acne? i am almost six months out and since the beginning of December I have had uncontrollable acne....i have the best medication from a dermatologist called retin-a and it is still coming and hurting...i didn't have it this bad as a teenager...come on now...wtf

Vaseline can actually clog up your pores which can indeed cause more acne. It is a great moisturizer but also having that added moisture can contribute to oiliness which can cause break outs.
Im tripping on this issue too because one week my skin looks radiant and the next week Im like a kid going through puberty all over again.
This is our bodies response of getting rid of all the toxins and it can continue to do so until we reach a maintable goal and also depends on the foods we eat.
I am currently still using the Mary Kay products and got prescribed the Retin-A which let me tell you is a damn miracle worker.
It will get better sweetie just give it time and focus on you. This too shall pass.

I am still tripping on the comment about your 7 yr old. I can see my son doing that.

J. it doesn't clog your pores at all....it states it on the label...and it's Tyra Banks beauty secret she says...it doesn't burn the skin either and the only thing keeping me from looking a fool...everything else leaves it red and dry still....yes retin a is the best but takes time...

You are using 100% vaseline? I was using that on my chin and nose and have blemishes up the wazoo. I was told to discontinue using it. Maybe because my skin is already oily (I have that wonderful T-Zone that makes you look like a soul food cook by midday...lol) I ended up having to go to the dermatologist. I couldn't take it anymore. I was tired of the hormonal imbalance bit. Which Im sure its what it is but I also did not want to go back to my shell and get all self-conscious. And the Retin-A has been great but Im tired of this onset and offset thing every other or every couple of weeks. I just gotta be patient and give it time. Im with you sweetie.
