Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
I been stuck at the same number for a month now!
I tried keeping it in a closet but the darn thing learned how to cry and yell at me every time I walked past. Feeling guilty I of course had to bring it back out so It could be back with its bathroom buddy's. You know tp holder kitty soap holder angel. wicker laundry basket and the assorted bath mat quartet. :) lol
My therapist gave in and said as long as I am not using it to restrict or develop an eating disorder it was ok for now.
My plan is to have my first postop weigh in at my follow up appointment next week (Tuesday I think it is...). After that, at the most, once a week I am even considering bi-weekly, but I am not sure yet. I think the longer I can go without, the healthier my head and the happier my day will be. As long as I am doing what I need to be doing.... I need to let the scale take care of itself.
Of course once the weight loss honeymoon is over, then I will reeval. I know in time I will have to find a happy medium with not too often and not too long in-between! :) :)
ya know we have surgery buddys........I wonder if a scale buddy would work out........one who dos not have a scale issue taking one who is addicted under their wing. *shrug*
got rid of mine and my surgery is not for another 2 weeks, but after reading posts from othera about stalling and getting frustraded i decided to let me closet full of clothes be my guide for the first few months. Nothing feels better then getting in those smaller jeans or nice tops you haven't been able to wear for a few years....
