1 Week Post Op

I am one week out today and besides feeling a little discomfort I am fine. Actually the discomfort is coming from when I go to sleep and lay on my back. I have big breasts so sleeping on my back is totally uncomfortable. I am going to try to take it easy because I have been feeling so good that I have been running alot instead of resting but I am going to just relax from here on out until I return to work.

Great news. Please rest!!! I am almost 4 weeks post op and feel pretty good. Although I still make sure I relax and nap. As of today I have lost 32 lbs. From what I have been told and experienced rest and sipping is your bestfriend. Please keep us posted and if you have any questions feel free to inbox me. Be blessed

is there a reason your not sleeping on your side? Or can you prop pillows up under your head to elevate yourself?

I know it was tough at first to sleep on my side but i had a drainage tube and i just made sure i had a washcloth over it in case it leaked and i slept much better than on my back.

Sounds like you are doing good for one week out. Just remember to walk and get your fluids in. Try to rest some also.
Everyone is different on how they feel once they get home from the hospital. I went shopping for 4 hours the day after I was released from my surgery!

I was a triple d when I had surgery and 11 weeks post op I am wearing a C, feels wonderful!! I too had horrible back pains from having very weak stomach muscles and my back muscles were over compensating for the lack of stomach muscles, as I lost more inches the pain went away. I have always been a side sleeper, there is no way I could have ever slept on my back being a triple d!!!! Hang in there your body is just now waking up and learning to adjust. I have no back pain at all now and love being a c!!! :)

You are doing so well!! I am glad things are going good or you. But you know no matter how great you feel you still have to take it easy & let your body rest & heal. This was a major surgery.

I also have big breasts and I know what its like to lay on your back.....I lined my bed down the middle with pillows and lay on my right side. The pillows give me the support my belly needs and is actually comfortable. I told the dr that they should suggest those U shaped pregnancy pillows after surgery. Keep up the great work and welcome to the losers club.
