Had the best day today! Abby drove me to the creek walk, where I was able to walk .74 miles before I started feeling it (good post-op start). Then we came home and lit into the house cleaning the kitchen cabinets and countertops spring clean style, and finally helped Kevin put up 7 quarts of dill pickles (which I doubt is on my WLS plan). Not much but that is all that he wanted since he is the only one eating them.

After my shower tonight, as I was drying off my drain tube I noticed something very strange floating inside. After further investigation it looks like an old plastic cigar filter. HOW did that get there? Should I call my PCP, Surgeon, or ASK a Nurse number?

I don't know why pickles would be a no no. Other than the lack of protein at this pount. :)

I didn't have a drain tube, so can't give any advise on that.

Hi Mia, my drain tube came out before I left the hospital, so don't know what to tell you about that. I think I would definitely call the Surgeon's office.

As for the pickles, probably later on you could try eating some. Pickles are one of my favorite too, but I don't think I will try any very soon, maybe in a couple of months

probably should be taking it easier since you just had
surgery a week ago or so. ;-)
don't want to risk getting a hernia or some other complication...
keep up the great work!
