I am down 38 lbs. My incisions are healing nicely. However, my water intake is not at what it should be. She won't let me return to work or move to the next food phase until I can get 64 oz a day. I'm barely getting 50.

Congrats on the weight loss! What's the problem on the water? What have you tried?

I just have so much trouble drinking it all. I usually have diet tea...sometimes crystal light, vitamin water zero, etc.

Are you getting sick? It won't stay down? It doesn't feel right? Or you just don't remember? Just trying to figure out how to help you. I didn't have any problems holding it down. For me at your stage it was just a matter of timing and figuring out how much I needed to drink at different times to avoid overlap with eating and make sure I got it all in.

To say more, I figured I had about 12 hours a day in which I was awake and could drink and not overlap with eating. (Though you may not even be eating yet so it's not an issue.) So I knew then that I had to drink a little more than 5 ounces an hour. That meant just a bit more than an ounce every 15 minutes. That was very do-able for me. Maybe if you had an ounce every 15 minutes then had a sugar-free popsicle at some point during the day you'd have it covered.

I am eating... Which is where I was thrown off. I was able to get 64 oz in before that. Part of it is waking up late because I'm still not working. Part of it is because I forget.

That's fabulous on the weight loss!! I find that unless I carry water with me everywhere and consciously remind myself to keep taking sips, I don't get enough in. I'm surprised you can eat the next phase of food or go back To work yet- sorry to hear that! Always carry water with you and just keep sipping often, but not too much to make you feel sick! Good luck and happy new year!!

You are doing great with the weight loss. What I have to do with the water to start with was I had bottles that were 20 oz. and I figured out how much I had to drink each hour to get it in. I really had to watch the clock and time myself to start with. It does get easier. Don't despair. It will soon be second nature to you.
