Hey just found this site thanks to stalking one of your members ;P


My garden is done now time to clean up. I had a terrible garden this year. Watermelons did great, beans ok, tomatoes decent. Everything else went to shit. I had squash bugs so bad. They got my zuchinni, rhubarb, rutabagas, even my cantaloupes got eaten. I made some money off my watermelons tho.


I'm glad it's time to clean out the garden and get to work in this nice cool weather we are having. I want to get a new sidewalk put in before winter. I also have a cousin I might get some Christmas cactuses from. Anybody do indoor plants? My cats tear them up sometimes.

Given the luck I've had with watermelons, a garden with good watermelons is stellar by my measure.

Wanna trade some squash for some watermelon? I didn't do a domestic garden this year, but several varieties of squash are growing wild here on my current job site.

Alot of times we don't plant stuff, it just comes up from last year when stuff goes to seed. One time we had a place outside where we dumped the cat box. My mom must've thrown some zucchini scraps out there because the next year we had the biggest zucchini plant I've ever seen!
Lesson learned: if your garden isn't doing well, get some cats to shit in it. Lol!

I allow a few of each type of plant to go to seed. I try hard to save all the seeds, seed pods etc. Yet, each year a few things sprout up that were seeds from yesteryear. I let them do their thing. Even if its a squash growing in the middle of my tomato patch or what have you.

Ghost, if you want indoor plants that are Cat free. Go to any store that sells cat food and misc. things. They should have sprays to detour cats. Spray on news paper or a table cloth under the plants.

    I did the dumbest thing today.  I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds.  I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym.  What a dummy!
