Many people don't realize that Locus are grasshoppers. The difference is, most grasshoppers are just a few here and there. But locus are grasshoppers that swarm.
Back in the 1800s the locus were in the millions if not billions. They swarmed East to West, 1500 miles. And 500 miles wide. Its not from pesticides that controlled them, but farming. Their egg sacks are about a quarter inch deep in the soil. Once the Midwest farmed over the land. The eggs were destroyed.
Right now, I have 1000s of locus in my back yard. My corn and everything else has been destroyed. Luckily, most everything was just picked.
Imagine in Egypt and Africa, the grasshoppers can get 8 inches long!

Luckily this farm has no crops for them to ravage. This area's not too conducive to human food crops. The hay is top grade, though.
