Yesterday and Monday I planted all the cold weather plants : peas, carrots, onions, potatoes, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, beets, radishes, parsnips, shallots, and lettuce.
We worked over the weekend building and installing more raised beds, then Monday night we put up another arched trellis as well as 2 fence panels to trellis tomatoes.
All materials were reclaimed/reused from old porches and free pallets. We also had the fence and T posts from when my dad was alive. That stuff is older than me.
I can't wait to plant the tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, herbs, beans, and flowers next month! I have one hog panel left. I think I might build another raised bed and but the fence panels down the center to trellis more tomatoes and peppers.
We also found some old PVC pipe. Maybe next year we can make irrigation from that.

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

We are still about a month away from planting up here. I haven't decided if I want to do that much work. I might just stick with a few tomato plants and call it good.
