Is so much cheaper than Walmart! I got 15 bags yesterday in dark brown. What is your favorite mulch color and where do you use it?
Yesterday I cleared out 3 flower beds. I transplanted some yellow daffodils and coral and cream bleeding hearts. I got rid of some yuccas. I am working on the shade beds under the maple tree in my small front yard. I planted some more hastas, the variety with white on the leaves. I also planted 2 toad lilies. Now I just have to plant calladium and mulch. I like using a bit of peat moss too. Then I will just have one more shade bed to do. It is filled with daisies, echinacea, and wildflowers, with some spider wort like the other beds. I will move some of the spider wort, and likely grub out the wildflowers because they have a shirt blook season. I have one white peony out there. Maybe I will plant some more. Or hydrangeas since I have peat moss.

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

I use to buy my mulch at a local home improvement store but I have a small work shop behind my house that generates alot of sawdust so I use that instead....
My favorite mulch color is red.
Do you grow blueberries? They are easy to grow and take care of. I have about a dozen of the tall bush ones.
I used to have a big rock garden in an area of my yard that is red clay. I had red mulch in there with a few sun loving perennials and an old split rail piece of fence, plus tons of rocks and pieces of driftwood.
I had roses, grape hyacinths, lots of salvia, and some herbs like lemon balm. It kinda looked like a dessert garden with the red mulch.
Now that bed has been overrun with honeysuckle. I dug up and moved everything else. Maybe I will get it back in good shape idk.
I think I like the dark chocolate brown mulch better now.
