I was off yesterday. Mom gave me her debit card to go get her fav plants for containers. I got a few for me too. Didn't take pics yet because it started raining.
I made 2 really pretty rectangular baskets with some succulents, sunpatiens, alyssum, and verbena. All shades of purple.
Then I potted some light pink geraniums with fuschia cat tails, and succulents with magenta flowers.
Mom potted her beloved rose moss, mostly orange and yellow, in an old red and white enamel sieve.
I added some mini petunias to some hanging pots that have petunias and rose moss coming up from last year.
I found 2 old wire baskets which I sprayed with black spray paint. They are the kind you use a coconut fiber mat. One is still empty, but I put different shades of pink impatiens in the other and hung it from a low tree branch of the maple out front.
Then I planted some red whopped begonias under the tree. And some more Ruby coleus.
Best of all, I filled the 2 hanging baskets for my shepherds hook out front. I got these beautiful small red begonias with dark foliage, some coleus, red, white, and peach impatiens. Turned out really nice.
I'd say in another week or two, weather permitting, I will be done with all flower beds. Fiance planted a few things in the garden. Gonna work on that soon too. Won't be time to plant corn until next month.

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

I love hanging baskets!
