I have a Buddhist philosphy and I really believe we are all connected to each other and to the world around us. One of the most gratifying things we can do is to be outside, tilling our soil and allow mother earth to provide for us like she was designed to do.
People might think I am a little nutty but I talk to her and I talk to my trees and my flowers. There have been some studies that claim that our plants are happy when we talk to them. They grow faster when we talk to them. That's why I always have the biggest tomatoes in town despite the lack of adequate sunlight from the many trees on my property! There are lot's of you tube videos about the science behind
The following video explains why we need to plant more trees:

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

I mean obviously growing up on a farm I learned that farm animals are happier if you sing to them but never heard about plants until my fiance was singing to some flowers last week.
Also yes I wish more people would plant trees instead of farming. The erosion and flooding in the Midwest is awful!
Thanks for posting Bob! My fiance is friends with the Dali Llama on Facebook, maybe that's where he learned to talk to plants.
I learned to talk to myself and make sound effects for everything from Bob Ross lol.
Yes plants are intelligent, for sure,
