Picked my first tomato recently. It's a big beefsteak. Other plants are about to explode. Already been eating zuchinni, rhubarb, and peppers. Lettuce is done so I planted more and also Swiss chard and herbs in the cleaned lettuce beds.

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

I don't really have a good place to grow food. I am surrounded by trees. Even my blueberries and blackberries, don't begine to mature until mid august, long after everyone else's have gone by.
Congratulations! I think more people should grow their own food and take advantage of what mother earth has to offer. Most of The mass produced veggies we buy in the stores are not really fit to eat. Last week I bought a bag of kale at walmart and when I opened it up, it had an awful smell to it so I threw it away.,,
Keep growing your own and you will live to be a hundred!
