Number 1 - My hubby and I volunteer to serve dinner to the needy on Thanksgiving day at our VFW!
It is such a pleasure to see all the smiling faces. It is lots of work and I am worn out for days but it is GREAT!

number 1000, i don't like the hypocrisy because of what was done to the indians (slaughtering the indians and stealing from the indians) after the indians helped the pilgrams, and it was the indians who had the feast and invited the pilgrims, not vice versa. thanksgiving should be a day of mourning...when areas bother to let the indians come on tv and tell their side i'm all for that.

if they want to have a day of mourning and fess up to the slaughter and stealing and another day that is simply a harvest day thanking god for having food to eat, that would be okay, i'd be for that, but as it is now, i boycot it. we have surf and turf like any other holiday, i see friends, we trade off desserts etc., but i am against the holiday itself and try to fast on thanksgiving day as it is now.

It ranks pretty low with me. You see, my people held this great going away bash for the pilgrims. They all had a great time for a bunch of uptight evicted Europeans, but the pilgrims never left. Things got worse after that.

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
