Today I made it closer to stop

2 weeks ago I asked a person at the casino where do I sign up and she said she had to call and I changed my mind. During the 2 weekend I lost 4000 including rent etc. today I loss 250 and I made it to the office where they convinced me not to ban because I may have Work events in another casino.  Although I didn’t ban myself, I made it closer to stop, because I will be homeless if I don’t and I have to kids.


i need help, and I found this site which I think with help one day at a time

welcome, we are here to listen and swap stories and get better, we have a wednesday GA meeting on the phone to start you off, just listen, or participate

we are all in the same boat and no one will be left behind, stay and read read read...we all did that and more over and over and over

Make your mind up now that you will not gamble!! Go to a GA meeting and continue on regular basis,your life will change immensely,I haven’t had a bet in 5 months and feel free from gambling constantly in my head! Be strong it can be done one day at a time!! JUST FOR TODAY I WILL NOT GAMBLE

I know how you feel. I just joined this group because I spent way too much money at the casino tonight. I vow its my very last time. The problem is this, my relative bugs me to go out as she's alone (hubby in a nursing home) and she doesn't feel guilty about going to the casino then out to a bar. I keep telling her that I will go out for supper with her but don't want to gamble. I'm just tired of losing. This time I stayed away from it for 2 weeks. Tonight I was tired of staying in so joined her for supper. When your there, you will gamble. What else can you do. I have taken a vow here and now, its my last time. I have tried to get her to go out somewhere else but nope, she won't. She loves the casino and it's ok for her because she has money, I don't. She continues to lose but still won't stop. Just because she only loses a hundred each time she goes, she thinks she doesn't have a problem but I know we both do. I am kicking myself so much tonight because I was doing so well by staying away. Well this time, I've had it. I"m never going back. I may lose my only friend but I don't care.
