Been there done that. Like Gerbdia saids if you exercise go for it even a walk. Journalling also might help. getting your thoughts down on paper. Or talk to someone f2f about your feelings. Glad you posted your feelings here better than stuffing them. Or visit the chatroom at Safe Harbor usaully someone there most of the day. Hope some of this helps. Have a great day of recovery.

Yes I have felt this feeling and in some part of the day the feelings return, restless spirit and racing mind.
Distraction is one of the best ways for me to avoid the thoughts turning into urges and then me acting on them.
Doing something else, anything, - cleaning, cooking, walking, shopping for food, anything to keep my mind busy.
I also find it good sometimes to emrace the quiet. To not be scared of "nothing" to do. To allow myself to rest.
As gamblers in action our thoughts are always jumbled and constant. We need to retrain our thoughts.
