You can do this!

Do you have to go to this area? Or is this a test? We can come up with some tests for ourselves and usually we fail our own test. That's been my experience. Hmmm...I'm trying to remember my last test. I've shared it own here before and others shared theirs. Probably going to McDonalds at a Casino and my Bic Mac Attack ended up costing five hundred dollars. Ouch! Failed miseable. If you can avoid that part of town, do so. There is an AA/GA saying that goes, "If you keep going to the Barbershop, sooner or later, you're gonna get a haircut!" Why tempt temptation if you don't have to. We relapse in our minds, long before we ever step foot in the Casino. It's just a matter of our bodies catching up to where we've already gone in our minds. Who will win the race??? Mind/Body Only you can answer that for you. We can change our mind at anytime. GOD Bless

I wouldn't go if I didn't have to. I mean are you trying to save your life or what? It's that serious for me.
I'm only saying this because I did this very thing 3 weeks into quitting and I was unable to stop myself from going. I learned that I wasn't ready for that type of test yet. I'm still not.
I do wish you all the strength you need to make the right decisions.

If u don't have the money, you will not be able to go. Once we crossed the line between responsible and irresponsible gambling, there's no turning back.... You might say that u did it, finally, u did it BUT u would again come back and there goes the cycle. We have to give in that we cannot fight this....

If u have someone u can trust, please have that someone manage your finances, at least $10 or $ 15 pocket money should be allowed everyday, so far, this is working for me....

Was able to get a part time job to help for now... I am using my free time to work to stop that stinkin thinking at the back of my mind.... One day at a time.... Slowly...

i didn't gamble, haven't gambled. but i am still feeling like crap. my mind just doesn't think good thoughts, it's all crap crap crap. i want to remain positive, everyone telling me to be determines with a can do attitude, it's not that easy. also with smoking, smoking is driving me to depression, it's insane. i just can't do this anymore. being unhappy everyday, not managing to live my life. people have so many expectations of me, i have failed to live up to them. oh my life is so out of control. i'm so sad. what do i got to do to feel better?

Flyorra, when I feel like you (and beleive me I felt numerous times exactly like you describing) I would just lay low. Major point is to NOT act on Impulse. Honestly, in times like this I overeat, oversleep, do nothing or do a lot, seek family communication, or any kind of communication, no matter what kind of quality it is, but main thing is you will not hide inside of the "box". Come out and scream if its that bad.. make yourself tired doing something, play some video games (I mean x-box, playstation or whatever you have). This feeling eventually will subside and you will feel 100 times better. I totaly understand what you are saying, when you hear - be determined, stay strong; and it makes you feel anxious. It is very normal, 'cause when we going through withdrawal symptoms, its extremely energy draining. And its Ok to feel weak at this times. Utilize your energy on only whatever important for your simple life needs and don't worry about other people expectations of you or whatever the heck they need. You are most important. Take care of yourself. Please, Say some really nice things to yourself. Someone in GA meetings said, with this disease to get better, you have to be (or become) selfish, and there is no other way. But it is very true, if you thing about it. Stay away from place which smashes your spirit, by giving you high and then smashing you of the asphalt, living you destroyed where you have to pick yourself up in pieces.
