First of all I've been where you are many times and before GA I would apply for high interest loans ...and then go gamble to win back my money to pay them off and repeat as necessary for the past two years.
I fell off the gambling cliff 30 Days ago and I am now paying the price financially BUT I now go to three (3) GA Meetings per week and they are 1 hr away from my home. I have found so much strength and stress relief by simply going to these meetings and now rather than running away to the casino the 'stress' doesn't bother me as much and I can resist the urges.
The GA Meetings are free (except gas) and have helped me more than my BH counselor has in changing my life. Meetings Make It.
