Find other things to do, write out a list of things you can do that cost little or nothing and take at least 20 minutes. (Average length of an urge.) Revive old hobbies and make new ones. Revive old friendships and make new ones, volunteer somewhere, Read, watch videos and seek out information about gambling addiction. Do something creative. Exercise. Go to the park. Do something, anything that is not gambling.
Banning from the casino is sometimes the only way people get quit. It will stop the bleeding. But you will likely need to do more internal work to be able to stay strong if you travel or to not just replace your gambling addiction with a new one. (i.e. food or shopping)
