I thought I was doing good.. went 13 days without gambling but last night when the husband and I went out shopping and I had the urge and asked him if we could go out for a few hours... he complied (he gambles but does not go crazy like I do if he sets a limit.. he will stop after the money is gone).. we went to the C....now I feel awful. He has not idea how much money I lost.. and again.. rather than pay overdue bills I have lost all my money gambling. I am so exhausted from the lack of sleep.. the worrying and now trying to figure out what to do next. My family won't talk to me since everything things I'm a mess.
I'm should have taken the great advice here and done somethings to prevent me from gambling like canceling my players card which allows even more access to money to gamble. The EFT will bounce when they hit. Now I need to call tomorrow to tell them it will bounce but last time I did that.. they just told me they would keep submitting it to my bank until it pays.. which means a $37 charge for each transaction (there are 3) each time they try to submit it, and this is on both sides (my bank and this company that does electronic checks)!
What is wrong with me?! I am at rock bottom but I can't stop and now I have self-hatred all week and be crabby and worry... I'm really not sure how I am will get out of this mess and beat this disease! I feel so defeated.

It's middle of april and snow covered ground is not what I expected to wake up with. There goes my walk in the park, i guess it's baking day!!
It's good to see you back here sharing your thoughts and how you are doing. I remember locking myself in the house for 45 days after my last relapse. I did not want to face the reality of life and came very close to ending it all.... The emotional and psychological after math was more then I can deal with. The light end of the tunnel simply wasn't there.
And then one day I realized that I dont have to chase that light end of the tunnel, I had the light all along, I just forgot to turn it on!
I understand everything you are going through... it's going to be ok.
it may not be the fast fix we wanted to be but today is better then yesterday and tomorrow will be even better if we only focus on today.
You are already paying forward by sharing your thoughts and experience here. You have touched many lives that you don't know exsisted.

you say your family won't talk to you so they think there is something wrong? right? (sorry)
and your husband goes with you and takes you but he must think something is amiss??
I tried for a long time not to tell my family or friends and it never works.
You have to do it when you get ready but you will never be able to quit with your husband taking you and not telling your family,
as right now they are belittling you and you need their support
just like the support you get right here.
You may not be able to do this yet, so just take your time and
do the other stuff now,
no NONONONOOOOOOOOOO money!!

over 140 miles to gamble.
