I keep telling myself that I can have control over gambling but it's not true at all. I am sitting all by myself in a hotel room at Foxwoods right now and I am devastated. I owe so much money right now... over $5000 in taxes (which I can't pay) over $40,000 in debt. The list is just endless. I am worried that they are going to kick me out of my apartment because my credit score is so low right now... I am a teacher and decided to get paid over 10 months this year and now I have no money saved for the summer. I need money for food, rent, bills and debts and I have $0. It's February 15 and I only have until the end of the June to figure this out. Out of desperation I am trying to turn free slot play into real cash but I just put it all back. I've overdrafted my bank account about a thousand times. My life is completely out of control. I have completely isolated myself from the entire world. I have no friends anymore.. I am just so sad all of the time. I hate everything about my life.
Otherwise our life will continue to downward spiral.
I have been in those casino hotel rooms.....times where I just lied to myself!! Waiting for funds to become available, trying to sleep a couple hours for the next gamble, just get out. Be done with it, it all just piles up more, more gambling more problems.
I can't take it any more. I sat at a table on Friday night gambling my mortgage money, car insurance money with tears in my eyes...almost wanting someone to notice. I kept losing every table, every time, it didn't matter and in just less than 3 hours lost it all again!!!!
Same thing lost again, always losing, that's just how or goes.
I need to stop and plan to...Friday, 2/14 my last night...hope you do too.

and so wanting to know that you are okay.

and felt it and hate it and wanted to turn off our mind.
The incessant ruminating and going over and over and replaying and remembering and hoping and wishing it weren't true.
Replace all of that with reading the stories here and finding hope and inspiration and love and encouragement that you will never find by keeping on doing what you have done in the past.
Gambling will only take you deeper and you don't need to go there any further.
