When I first quit I couldn't allow myself to have free time and money at the same time. I made plans with everyone I knew. I got up very early in the morning so I would be sleepy at night. I cut up my debit card so that I would have to go to the bank, during bank hours, to get cash. I was really upset about doing all of this. It made me angry and sad and irritable and tired. But I did it anyways.
Do whatever you have to do. It is worth it.
We are compulsive gamblers and our road of good intentions leads to Hell by way of the casino. I would suggest that you write down exactly how you felt after your last night of FUN at the casino. Then when you get the urge to go back, take out your notes and really remember how much fun it was. Take care, and hope to see more of you. Hugs ~atticus
