Hello All,

its been a while since ive posted here. I have been gambling for months now and yesterday i hit my lowest, to where i had only 12 dollars to my name. Looking at me, you would never think I have financial issues. Issues that i dug myself into in the past year, totalling 27k in debts on my credit cards. Whats worst is that I made it to my Wednesday phone meeting and still decided to go yesterday.

It seems drinking again has played its part, to make me go into the "F**k It" mode. I am very disappointed in myself, and feel the lonliness inside. I think it may be time to start live meetings with the 12 steps and getting a sponsor.

I cant live like this anymore. I dont want to live this. I want to go back to loving myself, which was more than a decade ago. I have been killing myself trying to always cover my losses, only to lose again.

I have been praying but actions speak louder than words!

I am going to try not to drink and get closer to God, and pray for the best.

Drinking and gambling is the casino's best ploy to empty your pockets. That's how they stay in business. Do you gamble when you're not drinking? Dealing with two addictions usually crops up when trying to deal with a gambling addiction, believe me, you're not alone. We start wondering "what came first, the chicken or the egg?", and the truth is it doesn't matter. I've found nothing can improve in my life if I continue to gamble. It's the worst addiction I've ever experienced. One step at a time, one day at a time, is the perfect course of action for any addiction. Taking care of ourselves is essential to thinking clearly again, it's all about doing the next right thing, at least that's how it's been for me, today I will not gamble.

you'll be ok.....i was in the -75.00 in my checking account once

i calmly said LOOK....this is ridiculous, I prayed, I begged, I sat in church every day for 30 days straight, trying to gain perspective into what the hell was happening

i love my cocktails, it makes it all better, then very very worse, i also had that "F IT" lets go and play, but then the crash would come, I HATE THE CRASH, it lives in my bones for days and weeks and I'm miserable on levels i cant even describe, but we all share

so make a small effort every day to fight this, keep on trying, never give up, pray, read, walk,voluteer, keep busy

You can do it if you really want to!!! I haven't had a drink in 15 years and haven't had a bet in 4 months. Believe me if I can do it anyone can!! Phone all your creditors and make an affordable payment plan,weight will be lifted from your shoulders. Get to a GA meeting and leave the misery behind you! Remember even when you win you lose enough is never enough,Good luck!! Your not alone but only you can change it. One day at a time...just for today I will not gamble
