I am so upset today. I would go out and gamble today if a casino was open. I tried reading some posts; can't say it has helped me today. Tired of my computer, tired of househld chores, how much food can you eat and how many times can you go grocery shoping? Wondering if someone could make a post here when they get to go to a face to face meeting. I stoped going to meetings regularly; I am not on anyones phone list. So, nobody is ever going to call me and tell me there is a meeting I can attend.

Cabin fever is even worse for addicts, I think.. Lots of meetings have changed to Zoom or other online formats, which isn't exactly face to face but can still be helpful. I wonder if the Nat'l Gambling Helpline would have info on such meetings in your area. Gamblers Anonymous might have a website for resources in your area as well, with info about current practices during the pandemic. I wish you well and hope you will take the initiative to reach out.

I understand many GA groups have moved to online Zoom meetings. While not ideal, it is better than nothing. I currently have a support group for compulsive gamblers that moved to online meetings via Zoom. I have the benefit of once a week counseling that I started just a month or so before lockdown that has become a weekly zoom meeting. I also attend a meditation group on line once per week. I attend a history class 2X a week on Facebook and I call several people I care about weekly. I have met up, masked with one friend, outdoors to chat six feet apart.
There are resources out there but sort of hard to get hooked up with them. The help line yes2recovery posted should be able to steer you to your area's resources. There is no shame in reaching out, it is not a sign of weakness but of strength.
