one day about 2 or 3 months ago i was in a casino gambling and trying to win some money back all afternoon. i was talking to the casino attendant and he was telling me about how he had an older lady come in once a week and load the machine up with $2000 right away and and gamble all day. That got us to talking about how much people put in (me included, there all afternoon sick!) He was used to it by now as he had worked there a couple of years but he told me when he first started a lady had come in and gambled away $1300 and she started crying and asking him to refund her money, it was for her kids christmas presents and she was supposed to be shopping, she swore if they gave it back she would never come in there again. Well he was new so he went to ask his manager if they could do that and of course the answer was no- it was her problem. Well when I left I told him that I had a great family, kids and hubby and that I wouldn't be coming back and he said to me "You don't know how glad I am to hear that-people have to get to their lives." It just made me think how pathetic I must have looked sitting at a machine while the family was at home-practically spending as much time in there as the workers. And then to have a casino worker tell me it was a great idea not to come in and gamble.
