I live just 10 miles from a c - - - - -
and self excluded for the last five years,
they only do one year at a time,
but each approx. anniversary........
off I go to do IT again.
I have NEVER gone back as the embarassment would be TOO much.
unfortunately,
I found others that were over 100 miles away
and frequented them weekly and
got into BIGGY HUGE trouble
and HERE I am.
If they would all be mandated to do this
and swipe drivers licenses at the door,
it would take a huge step toward helping
problem gambling,
but that would be asking too much of them,
or so they say,
it is just that they can "proclaim" the willingness and
helpfulness toward GA programs and the like,
but lets not forget that they make a living at
keeping us hooked.

and self exclude whenever and where ever possible.
It works best when you've made friends with staff and
then they see you doing the exclusion.
I had a security officer tell me that it was
amazing at how ADDICTIVE this stuff is.
He sees it first hand each day.
He did really care and was so kind and
caring when he walked me out the door for good.
BAN people, self exclude and keep doing it
and keep asking the places to allow it and
take your names off the check writing capacity
and make it just impossible to do anything
there if you do find yourself in that dark place.
