Today I will not gamble
Making myself do something besides be depressed was sometimes like moving through waist high mud. Ultimately, counseling, exercise, meditation, meticulous self care, and abstinence helped get back to caring about life. Then remembering the things I enjoyed once about life and going about living it outside the dark maze of my compulsive gambling. I won't be gambling today.
One day at a time is how we deal with this addiction. Recovery has to start somewhere, to say today I will not gamble and mean it. Soon days begin to add up and life becomes livable again. Read all you can here, there’s of good advice.
