Gallstones (choleliths) are crystalline bodies formed within the body by accretion or concretion of normal or abnormal bile components. Risk factors for pigment stones include cirrhosis, biliary tract infections, and hereditary blood cell disorders, such as sickle cell anemia. Stones of mixed origin also occur.
I do know that if your pain gets too bad you will want to have the gall bladder removed. It will be unbearable for you.

Yes there are non surgical type treatments. You would need to go to the dr. and ask about them.
you could possibly alter your diet so that you dont have problems. It means not eating fatty greasy foods. For me it also meant giving up eating spicey foods as I would have after eating spicey food.
I dont know if the "only" problem you can have is gall stones, I have never researched this though.
