Gallstones Support Group
Gallstones (choleliths) are crystalline bodies formed within the body by accretion or concretion of normal or abnormal bile components. Risk factors for pigment stones include cirrhosis, biliary tract infections, and hereditary blood cell disorders, such as sickle cell anemia. Stones of mixed origin also occur.
Hello, I'm new to the group. I had my gallbladder removed laproscopically 5 years ago. I was suffering with pain in my sternum area as well as stomach issues. I also felt nauseous a lot. After seeing my gastro on 3 different occasions; he finally did a scan of my gallbladder and I had gallstones. I thought that once my gallbladder was removed; I could eat anything! The surgeon told me so.
I'm here to tell you my story. I have not been able to eat every thing without a problem. I am no longer able to process foods high in fat, dairy, creamy sauces, caffiene and some alcohol. There have been times when I eat something and do fine. The next time I eat it; I have to literally run to the bathroom. This has caused a lot of stress in my life and as a result; I tend to stay home as much as I can.
I do eat very bland and stress no butter or oil when ordering food at a restaurant. After having my children; I weighed about 130 lbs. However, dealing with stomach (mainly intestinal spasms) which lead to a BM, I am always on guard. I now weigh 103 lbs. It's the only way to stop this vicious cycle. I have had stool samples done, blood work done and apparently; nothing of concern shows up. I wonder if anyone has had this happen? I wish I had a solution. I just try to eat clean. It's boring and very bland. Can you relate?

After work, I am taking a defensive driver course today. It is online and only cost $10 and it may save me as much as $300 on my car insurance. I got the information from my car insurance company. Little known fact about me is that I drive with two feet.

One day in August many years ago, the strings to our hearts were woven together in a magical and sacred way. They remained tied together though they were taken on a journey fraught with challengingdemons serpents and deep wounds. But still, they stayed tied together. They were torn apart and like a wound that leaves a scarthey cannot heal. They are broken. Ripped, callously slashed. The heart...

sick all of the time. I really dislike the GI docs I deal with. It's just tests, more tests and no results. I am so sick all of the time
