Both my parents used to play cards but not together, lol.
My dad used to play poker or pinochle with his friends and my mom used to get together with her sisters and play canasta. My mom didn’t leave the house much and I don’t remember them having any friends that were “ couples”

My parents didn't really play cards, although my Mom would sometimes play Solitaire.... which really couldn't be played with other couples, lol.

My parents didn't have couples over and didn't play cards. My father worked a lot. Mom only had one close friend and she was busy raising kids and working.

my parents very rarely did that....but yes people enjoyed playing cards back in the day.....bridge was one I think Mom liked,....I never learned that....I played pinochile in college and hearts spades...poker.....

there still are groups in meetup.com that get together for specific card games all the time....I have learned to play Eucker.....

I can remember when my parents had friends over for cards.

And also remembering that when mom hosted her bridge club there were nice snacks; especially the mixed nuts and she would let us have one cashew from the bowl.

    It's going to get hotter here with Thursday being the hottest. It's noon and 75f feels more like 80 or more.I've been cleaning up the deck in this morning and cleaning the windows outside. Then I cut up a  pallet in half, I've decided to call it quits now because I went a bit light headed. Joanne, some drugs we take have an effect on us in the heat, I know a couple of mine do, maybe yours...

    check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....
