Foster Care Support Group
Foster care is a system by which a certified, stand-in parent(s) cares for minor children or young peoples who have been removed from their birth parents or other custodial adults by state authority. Responsibility for the young person is assumed by the relevant governmental authority and a placement with another family found.
After, we got her a latte and we worked in the garden for a couple of hours. I also talked to the social worker, because this was absolutely ridiculous.
Also be POSITIVE! Ask questions about the bio family: how are they doing, what are they up to? etc...if you show an interest, the kids will too. This is true even at 30 years old for me. If my mom shows an interest in my biological mother, it makes me want to call and check up on her too.
