Food Addiction Support Group
An individual suffering from a food addiction disorder frequently experiences episodes of uncontrolled eating, or binging, during which they may feel frenzied or out of control. They will eat much more quickly than is normal, and continue to eat even past the point of being uncomfortably full. Binging in this way is generally followed by a period of intense guilt feelings...
I have been told, every action taken begins in the mind, and that the mind is what needs to be controlled. I have also heard that the body is a living thing which infers that it has a mind of its own, figuratively speaking. I think one thing, yet feel another, and often times I end up giving in to the feelings. This is my struggle with food. My sister said it perfectly, she said "I just ate and I know I am not hungry, and I know that I don't need any more food, but I have these cravings." I know what my two major problems with food are; I struggle with will power (achieving a congruence in mind and body), and I cannot seem to eat foods that satisfy my palate. I remember going to this restaurant in Louisiana, and I ordered the spinach bacon salad with a bacon vinegarette (balsamic vinegar with a little of the grease from the cooked bacon blended perfectly), spread out over a large portion of vibrant green spinach, and it was the most divine salad I have ever eaten in my life. I remember, after eating that salad how satisfied I was, and I did not eat anything else for the remainder of the day, because I wanted to hold on to the memory of how delicious and filling the salad was (this is my relationship with food; highly intimate and personal). That salad was my first and last meal of that day, plus I was very active with work, and this dynamic worked for me. I was much healthier and leaner than I am now, however, much has changed in my life (location, employment), and I have not been able to have more of those experiences.

So mad at Xfinity! They're trying to charge me $115 per month for the same service I had been paying $50 the last four years. I took the equipment to UPS for shipping and cancelled my subscription today! Next door was a cookie shop called Crumbl. I had heard of it before but never went in until today. I don't need one more sugar fix, but maybe it will help with my sad) grieving heart....$15...

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

Exercise became another addiction, albeit a healthy one but it did not cure the underlying problem which was a lack of Peace and Love for myself from myself and it took many years for me to come to terms with it. I searched everywhere for it....in drugs, and in alcohol and in material things and I tried to get it from other people but all that did was smother them. I tried so hard to find it in drugs that I nearly killed myself in the process.
What finally healed me were several books I read. The first was called, The 12 steps for everyone who really wants them by Jerry Hirschfield. This is the AA 12 steps adapted for EHA (Emotional Health Anonymous) Heal the underlying problems and addictions disappear. or the cravings become less intense and come less Often. The book is based on the 12 steps and acim (A Couse in Miracles) Without those two books, I might not be here writing this to you today. I highly recommend.
