Food Addiction Support Group
An individual suffering from a food addiction disorder frequently experiences episodes of uncontrolled eating, or binging, during which they may feel frenzied or out of control. They will eat much more quickly than is normal, and continue to eat even past the point of being uncomfortably full. Binging in this way is generally followed by a period of intense guilt feelings...
Hi....Well, I have a terrible addiction to food. One of my many addictions and bad behaviors. Food has always been my go-to, my rock, the one thing that I thought could always make me feel better. The trouble is, as I've come to realize, food is not ever going to make me feel good enough to successfully void whatever pain or stress is driving me to eat.
Food has chemicals, i.e. drugs, in it and I have been abusing it, eating when I'm not remotely hungry and gorging when life feels incredibly hard. Well, guess what? Not only does the real (triggering) problem fail to go away but my health goes down the drain as well.
Several weeks ago I started to turn this around by facing up to it and by beginning to talk about it. Already my health is improving and my appetite is a fraction of what it was, though I do eat what I need for sustenance.
But last night and tonight I found myself snacking when I had no need and couldn't locate a particular stressor. So I'm thinking it's habit because of the presence of former foods I used to gorge on (cookies and chips) which I should not have around. I see that now.
I just want to change my life for the best and sustain that change permanently. That's what led me to this forum. Thank you.

Can you identify these rom-coms from just a screenshot from the middle of the films? This is a multiple choice quiz so even if you're not entirely sure you can always take a guess and at least have a 25% chance of getting it right anyway, so why not have a go?! https://www.buzzfeed.com/alysaurus688/rom-com-screenshot-trivia-quiz

I used to go there. Its way to find others with common interests of changing eating behaviors
@tigertwo It can be such difficult thing to break that pattern. The toughest part is figuring out the reasons why we reach for the food. Thank you for sharing and I wish you success.
