Food Addiction Support Group
An individual suffering from a food addiction disorder frequently experiences episodes of uncontrolled eating, or binging, during which they may feel frenzied or out of control. They will eat much more quickly than is normal, and continue to eat even past the point of being uncomfortably full. Binging in this way is generally followed by a period of intense guilt feelings...

hey guys-so this blog thing didn't work out the first time. maria (the adorable little fluffball in my profile pic), likes to have my attention 24/7. so guess who jumped up here and "accidently" pushed delete while i was working on a highly personal, very intense, SIX PARAGRAPH blog?! yep, she did, and then she looked at me all sweet like "oh hi mommy! what did i do?" she's lucky this isn't for a grade. if she does that when i'm at bethel....never mind...it's making me mad just thinking about it now.
so anyway, i had a different question/topic for you all in the earlier blog. i probably will post that later. right now, i want to tell you that i told my dad. well, he sort of already knew, but not really. i'mnot making any sense am i? he knew, but he didn't know it was an addiction to food. he had no idea how serious it was.he didn't know i spent junior high and high school bingeing during and in between classes.he didn't know that i was eating because i couldn't deal with the abuse. and thenlater, eating because i couldn't deal with paul, ryan, penn, and adrianne.
i thought he'd laugh at me. or worse, not believe me. i thought he'd be cold and logical and not "get it". i couldn't habe been more wrong. it amazes me how much i sometimes underestimate the beautiful family god has blessed me with. dad wasn't even upset with me for not being totally honest about what mom was doing anyway. i should have known betterthan to doubt him.
when i was little,i picked out a keychain for him for father's day. it said "world's greatest dad". he carried it with him for eons. that's the phrase that comes to mind. ladies and gentlemen, i have the world's greatest dad.-fallon

Our chat got cut short. but found this post. I'm so very happy for you. Sometimes we underestimate those we love. It is never a good thing to live with secrets in a family. this can't fix things but sure will make it a lot easier to handle knowing you can turn to your Dad!

Noticed your current mood says thankful. This is my mantra. Being grateful is one of the keys to happiness in this life. It sounds silly to some but it is huge! Gratitude helps us think more positively and put the focus on whats right instead of whats wrong. Makes us pursue a path toward whats good. We really are what we think it has the potential to change our brain chemistry and make us feel better.

You go! It's completely necessary to have a support system cheering you on, or more importantly, conscious of your reality: that being that you struggle with a food addiction! Lord knows I do... and how inspirational are you? (Answer: majorly) Now is without a doubt my time to reach out and start talking... start bringing to light the genuine severity of my addiction (cause hey, it's been a lifetime)... So, thanks. Feel free to write me anytime :-) Miss Em

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
