Food Addiction Support Group
An individual suffering from a food addiction disorder frequently experiences episodes of uncontrolled eating, or binging, during which they may feel frenzied or out of control. They will eat much more quickly than is normal, and continue to eat even past the point of being uncomfortably full. Binging in this way is generally followed by a period of intense guilt feelings...
What steps are you taking to get better? What other things (even small ones) can you try?
If what you're doing isn't working, then, what you're doing isn't working, and you need to think about a slightly different approach. Trust me on this - I hit my head against the same brick wall for decades before I figured out what I needed to do.
Write a bit about what you're doing now to work on this. Perhaps someone can offer some suggestions for some small changes that you might try.
(IN ANY WAY). It means that they are eating abou longer willing to let these people have so much power over your thoughts/actions...
once you sincerely practice forgiveness- the weight is lifted and they are no longer taking up ‘real estate’ or preoccupation in your mind.
Instead, they are out of our lives- for good!! It seems like I am talking crazy talk I know, I thought the very same when what seemed to be an idiotic, incredibly impossible task was posed to me.. I wanted no parts of forgiving those dirty $&@? for what they had done to me!! I ‘held on’ to the animosity for those who horribly wronged wronged wronged me until I finally had enough of allowing them to steal my joy... you see, they were not the one lying awake at night making multiple pantry runs for mass quantities of anything edible to swallow down the hurt. Once I understood power these people had over me, I continued to have better afternoons by asking God to let me maintain my sanity through forgiveness and since I had, nothing to lose, I did the unthinkable and forgave and forgave and forgave ...,and suddenly they no longer had me!!! You see, I became free !! It was my selfish act— forgiving entirely whatever the circumstance. I hope this makes sense. It is really a very difficult concept, I know every religion and self help group embrace this practice. You can begin by just saying it out loud ..- ‘So & So I forgive you for what you did” . You can tell them you forgave them if you wish or you can just do it!!! If you are not a believer in God, you can make up one, Anything that you do to best handle this pain is to forgive!!’
