Food Addiction Support Group
An individual suffering from a food addiction disorder frequently experiences episodes of uncontrolled eating, or binging, during which they may feel frenzied or out of control. They will eat much more quickly than is normal, and continue to eat even past the point of being uncomfortably full. Binging in this way is generally followed by a period of intense guilt feelings...
I think you are not getting a lot of responses here because other people might feel like I do - anorexia is some scary stuff, and while I want to be supportive for you, I truly don't understand it enough to feel secure in offering you much advice.
But, i do worry that you may still have a skewed sense of what a normal weight is, and you might be beating yourself up for overeating when you're actually just eating in a normal way after getting through the anorexia. (Never mind your family telling you that you're overweight, yeesh, no one needs that.)
So another question for you - are you working with a doctor or counselor who will be able to help you if you're going too far back in the direction of anorexia?
