Food Addiction Support Group
An individual suffering from a food addiction disorder frequently experiences episodes of uncontrolled eating, or binging, during which they may feel frenzied or out of control. They will eat much more quickly than is normal, and continue to eat even past the point of being uncomfortably full. Binging in this way is generally followed by a period of intense guilt feelings...
I get actually offended, mostly when I feel misunderstood by someone close to me. And I usually state my feelings and get over it quickly.
Over-kill is...bringing dramatics into it, or holding grudges, or taking offense but not letting the person know (this includes making the person guess what is wrong).
has anyone read "the four agreements" by don miguel ruiz? one of the four agreements is to not take anything personally. this one is the hardest for me, so i have to work on it daily.
but i'm wondering when i do take something personally and get offended, when does it get to the point that i'm emotionally abusing myself? say, i take offense to something, hold it with me...that hurts me. not the person i'm mad at.
isn't that crazy? i think it's so crazy that humans can find the littlest ways to hurt ourselves.
and i've also found that when i'm having a good day and not taking things personally, people assume that i don't care about what their talking about. it's nuts.
