Food Addiction Support Group
An individual suffering from a food addiction disorder frequently experiences episodes of uncontrolled eating, or binging, during which they may feel frenzied or out of control. They will eat much more quickly than is normal, and continue to eat even past the point of being uncomfortably full. Binging in this way is generally followed by a period of intense guilt feelings...
Today is day 4 of being binge-free! Yay. I think, even after only a few days, I feel like I have more energy. makes sense - no sugar crashes. I actually had a small treat last night, just a small dish of frozen yogurt, and I actually stopped, instead of going back for more. So that's good.
How is everyone else doing????
Thanks
I just had another binge tonight when I got home with bacon, toast, butter, cake, chocolate...it was horrific.
I need to be held accountable as well. Maybe something will click in my brain to make me stop if I know I have to come on here and admit my shameful behavior. :(
When I want to binge, I'm aware, now, that I'll have to come and write that down here, and it does help.....
I was up to around 10 days binge-free, and I TOTALLY fell off the wagon. Am starting again tomorrow.
I am trying to be positive about the progress I've made. I've stopped keeping unhealthy foods in the house, but find that because I've set that boundary, if I ever DO have something--a bag of nuts, a chocolate bar, it becomes inevitable that I'll binge on it that night. It's as though the limitation dares the inner child in me to rebel. I'm so tired of waking in the night and eating. Feeling discouraged today, but so glad for the progress I'm reading about! Way to go!
