Food Addiction Support Group
An individual suffering from a food addiction disorder frequently experiences episodes of uncontrolled eating, or binging, during which they may feel frenzied or out of control. They will eat much more quickly than is normal, and continue to eat even past the point of being uncomfortably full. Binging in this way is generally followed by a period of intense guilt feelings...
It is great to meet all of you....most people don't understand what food addiction is like - they don't realize that it's like a drug for us.
This is day 2 of being binge-free....and it's hard. My room-mate came back from the store today with all kinds of goodies. I'm in my room, trying to forget about her ice-cream. I had this idea that I could come here and write, instead of raiding the kitchen.
I am SO tempted. Argh. I keep reminding myself: I don't want to be a slave to food.
How is everyone else doing today???
Kilinki - Nice to meet you! I know, I got tired of my own behavior, too. I also always had to hide wrappers and things, 'cause I didn't want anyone in my house to see how much I ate. It's just like a drug addict, hiding his drugs and needles and stuff. Hope we can help each other out :-)
I feel like this time, maybe I'll FINALLY get back on track. The problem is that I've actually gotten really good before, and then fallen off the wagon - I think, once, I didn't bing for a loooong time, like 9 months, and then totally fell back into it. On and off the wagon.....hopefully, this is the last time :-)
Can i join with y'all? For the past few months I've had terrible binging spells, but enough is enough, i need to stop. Let's do this.
Caesar - Hi again :-) yes, enough is enough. let's stop this together.
How is everyone doing today???
