Food Addiction Support Group
An individual suffering from a food addiction disorder frequently experiences episodes of uncontrolled eating, or binging, during which they may feel frenzied or out of control. They will eat much more quickly than is normal, and continue to eat even past the point of being uncomfortably full. Binging in this way is generally followed by a period of intense guilt feelings...

hey-17 days...and that's it-at least for now. i couldn't stand it anymore, and devoured a piece of chocolate cake, a package of resee's, and a can of pepsi. i was about to inhale the hershey bar in the fridge, when maria hopped up on my wheel. i feel so stuck. i'll do so well for a week or so and then i just can't do it anymore. and so i gorge myself and then i feel like i should just crawl into a hole and stay there for eternity. WHY THE HELL DO I SABOTAGE MY OWN RECOVERY?!!!!!! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG?!!!!!!!! I WANT TO GET BETTER!!!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!-fallon

you did do really well, and need to remember that accomplishment. I wish I had come to this site before I ate dinner. Ate too much, and trying to stay away from the desserts. Kudos on the 17 days, and by writing should help you, but I know that feeling still sticks with you of before to start binging, and then afterwards is the WORST!!!! try to think of tomorrow and the great things that will happen.

Hi Fallon. I have to agree that you really did well. You should be proud of how long you did go without bingeing and all you learned about yourself along the way. I know the feeling you have. I used to go on cycles of not trying to binge for 21 days straight (they say it takes 21 days to break a habit). I made it to the 21 days twice. Other times I would only make it to 4 days... 11 days... 19 days... I know that disgusted and sad mood after giving in to a binge and I'm so sorry you are feeling that now. I did learn a lot about myself and my relationship with food each time I did it, though. Even though I would fail sometimes it was still beneficial. I'm just starting another 21 day cycle myself and I'd love to support eachother if you want to start over. One thing I have learned just over the past year is that I never seem to be "cured" of this food addiction (I wish I was). It seems to come in cycles where some times are more difficult than others. I have also learned that I'm doing my best when I have the support of people on here and I write in my journal. Just know that there are lots of people on here who know what you are going through. Hang in there. You really have done a great job.

Sabotage?! lol... That is hardly a sabotage my dear... You hardly ate the cake... or an entire bag of Reeses- something, I'm sure, anyone with our addiction has experienced. Just know that you were intelligent enough to STOP, and to recognize that you were on the verge of some fairly dangerous behavior... So, ROCK ON! Just keep it going... and DO NOT BECOME YOUR GREATEST obstacle. Talk it out, write it out, sing dance, DO WHATEVER YOU NEED TO DO TO GET AWAY FROM THE DRUG. Cause thats what this thing is... a drug. Love always, write whenever ;-) Miss Em

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
