Fitness Goals Support Group
This community is dedicated to group support around achieving fitness goals, whatever they may be, through personal training, athletic activites, or other strenuous activity. Whether you are trying to get fit to treat a health problem, boost your mood, relieve stress, or tone your body, this group is a great place to meet other like-minded people who have similar goals.
I used to do it on a treadmill but I had a knee injury. My knee is doing okay but still it bothers me from time to time. I have heard from different people that often after an injury that area is not the same. I just do not want to risk re-injury. The bike and elliptical are lower impact.
That first work out went great. I had to get use to their equipment.
I've also found riding a bike every day, as a supplement to working out, is great cardio. It cost me $500 all in for a new Marin rode/mountain hybrid bike with lights, spare tubes, water bottle holder, etc., and it's been worth every penny. I love getting outdoors and pumping on a bicycle way better than the gym. Fresh air, different weather every day, meet interesting people at parks, etc. It works me and makes me strong from the very core, flattens my gut, really strengthens my legs, and makes me feel horny like a teenager. There are cheaper bikes at Wal-Mart.
Whatever works for you! Best of success, and have fun!
