This community is dedicated to group support around achieving fitness goals, whatever they may be, through personal training, athletic activites, or other strenuous activity. Whether you are trying to get fit to treat a health problem, boost your mood, relieve stress, or tone your body, this group is a great place to meet other like-minded people who have similar goals.
From previous experience, I would STRONGLY recommend that you keep a daily journal of what you eat and give yourself a "cheatday" and I don't mean a PIGOUT DAY. IT WORKS!!!
I don't know what you would normally have for breakfast, but maybe you could prepare before you go to bed, or leave yourself a nasty note in the kitchen to make a breakfast.
I don't think that I have to tell you how important that first meal of the day is for everyone.
The most common breakfast I have is my porridge. There are even 1 minute quick oats so you can just about make it in 5minutes.
Now you also know that the staying up late is also not good for you. Just set yourself a time and get to bed then, whether you like it or not.
What's with all that junk food?? Again, you know that's horrible, so give yourself a cheat day each week and just be done with that junk food.
What you may try is to spend one day a week just preparing your clean foods.
I go to the market on Saturday morns and get all my veggies. Usually on Sunday, I'll spend time to divide up cauliflower and broccoli and other veggies, putting portions into baggies. That way, I grab a couple bags in the morn to take to work or to the gym or any time I go out so that I can just walk on by all those bad junk food places.
If you have some healthy grab bags all ready in the frig, maybe you can cut down some of that 25% of junk food.
And now it's late, so I am going to bed.
don't you stay up too late now!
OMG I am sounding like my MOM did years ago!
Those foods aren't even tasty. They make me ill. Too fatty. I don't even LIKE the taste anymore. Neither do you, just remember that. ;)
Potato chips? Are you kidding? Why you want those? Sodium, high blood pressure, heart disease= DEATH!!!!! You best just keep to that clean diet of steamed veggies and chicken (you can broil/bake/grill but no fun for you). If you want, reward day is Saturday!!!! Have a soda, piece of cake, potatoes, meatloaf, etc etc........
OK, that's my effort. I'm not a 'craving person' so I guess I'm lucky in some way. Although, I could afford to eat a bit more but not bad considering.
Blessings Fiddler, you're gonna be great!
First rule: stay out of the teacher's lounge! Never have I seen such caloric sins as what's frequently found next to the coffee machine!
The chicken and vegetables sound great though and to match your confession, I'll admit my addiction to Hershey's syrup in a cold glass of milk- I put it in skim to avoid excess fat and guilt.
A cheatday is not an excuse for poison!!!
I am so motivated not to disappoint you - had 8 hours sleep last night. Breakfast of chicken and veg first thing when I got to school (which was within an hour of waking up.)
Lunch was a challenge - there were brownies at the staff meeting baked by the teacher who has professional chef aspirations. Ever mindful of my DS friends (oh my the grief you would have given me!) I abstained.
As of this post on meal number three, chick and veg, some flaxseed oil
Happy also to report no diet soda, no artificial sweetener in the coffee either.
might need to drink more water though.

I hope you are not missing your breakfast today.
