Went for a long walk today. Just under 10 miles. Went at a slow enough pace to watch people, but not so slow to get bored with the pace. I had music in my ears also ... and 2 small bottles of water. I love love love it. Very grateful to be able to do this. Yesterday I was kind of tired from not sleeping so well, but I still managed a short walk. I skipped all coffee yesterday and slept like a log, really wanting to have the energy for a long walk next day.
First time did not wear a mask while walking in about a year. Most people not wearing masks at park, and it was not crowded at all, it being a Friday.
In the morning my hand arthritis was acting up, which I am trying to tame a bit and find ways to manage so that I can continue my sewing, cooking, gardening, etc without too much pain. I found some little silicone sleeves for each individual finger that help. Also I am learning to grab things less intensely, since all my life I have been crazy hard on my hands.
Well, tomorrow I certainly cannot go for another long walk, it would be too hard on me. I may skip a walk tomorrow and sit in the sun with tea to wake up. I hope to do some strength training with light weights. I do not like strength training. It is difficult and I cannot get into it like walking or running. But it does help with walking, running, and HOUSEWORK and such, plus I hope to stay strong enough to help friends and relatives who need me, if I can.

So mad at Xfinity! They're trying to charge me $115 per month for the same service I had been paying $50 the last four years. I took the equipment to UPS for shipping and cancelled my subscription today! Next door was a cookie shop called Crumbl. I had heard of it before but never went in until today. I don't need one more sugar fix, but maybe it will help with my sad) grieving heart....$15...

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

It's been about 5 years or so since I walked 10 plus miles and about 25 years since I ran that distance or more. You're doing great and you are an inspiration to others!
Keep up the good work!
~~~Cheers~~~
