Just this side of heaven lies the Rainbow Bridge.
When a beloved pet dies, it goes to the Rainbow Bridge. It makes friends with other animals and frolics over rolling hills and peaceful, lush meadows of green.
Our pets do not thirst or hunger. The old and sick are made young once more; the maimed and the ill become healed and strong. They are as healthy and playful as we remember them in days gone by.
Though happy and content, they still miss someone very special, someone they had to leave behind.
Together, the animals chase and play, but the day comes when a pet will suddenly stop and look into the distance bright eyes intent, eager body quivering. Suddenly recognizing you, your pet bounds quickly across green fields and into your embrace. You celebrate in joyous reunion. You will never again separate. Happy tears and kisses are warm and plenty; your hands caress the face you missed. You look once more into the loving eyes of your pet and know you never really parted. You realize that though out of sight, your love had been remembered. And now, you cross the Rainbow Bridge together

really am crying while reading them, hate to say; 55 yr old bum that I am.
my cat having another of his up days---slept all night, ate enough food, now laying in his cardboard box in bedroom for first time in months?
but, he could he be fooling me, acting normal, as even vets say....my limping dog was no longer limping when I took him to vet just for his all day limp
gonna regret doing this, gonna regret if I chicken out, and then during his bad times I go crazy again.
he's going bald, thowing up almost daily, sometimes wont eat, his nails getting long, etc......I gotta see this as quality of life.
I'M SORRY ABOUT GOING BITTER----HE'S THE ONLY FAMILY I HAVE.
that's what helps me...knowing i'll see my 4 cats again
my over kill thanks.
as i joked to my landlord a couple hours ago, i was wicked step mother to the other cat, with most of time saying to 2nd cat, "get away from him!
I dont even care that my old kitty kat urinated on me; i put some spray on pants and am walking around; also have the shirt i put him in for vet and which he wet himself through to my pants.
i will start treating the other cat nicer----but he's no cuddle kitty.
On Sunday, it will be SEVEN Years since I was fired from my last major job and looking back I was in such a poor frame of mind it was inevitable that I'd lose that job. Spiritually I was completely throughother.
I wish I had treated our Dog better than what I did, but me and my Brother were at the behest of our Grandfather who was a typical Irish Farmer. He wanted the Dog to be vicious. We obliged.
