Financial Challenges Support Group
This community is for people who are struggling to meet financial obligations of any kind. Financial challenges include everything from the day-to-day challenges of making ends meet to managing credit card debt to bankruptcy. Get support from others who are going through similar obstacles on the road back to financial stability.

Try writing down everything on a piece of paper and leave space for notes. Drink some coffee and get yourself in a resourceful state of mind. Get a friend or family member with you who is resourceful and go over each item on the list. Prioritize them and talk about options for handling them, such as getting second hand clothes, etc.....
I hope you manage to work your way through all of this and get things to a better place. (((hugs)))
If you're eligible for bankruptcy, then I'd probably take that avenue. That's only if you're way over your head and there are no outs. Try to negotiate with all your bills and understand that this will take some time.
My heart does go out to you and it's sad to read about your current situation.
I heard Joyce Meyer say the other day "growth always hurts."
hmm. true. but painful.
Here are some thoughts that might help you a little bit.
Try Goodwill for $1.99 clothing for your kids. That has been a lifesaver for me, I know. I can't keep my kid in clothes either. This morning he announced that his biggest shorts are now too small, which leaves him with zero pairs. great.
If you re on assistance, you and your fianc might qualify for free state transportation to the doc appts. I know my sil does. She lives in PA. She just got set up and has to call at least 24 hrs in advance, but it's free.
When food gets low and money is tight, I have this backup plan for feeding my family, during hard times: buy dry rice and dry beans in bulk, buy frozen spinach. at aldi's if possible. all are super cheap and provide the nutrients and calories you need until your check comes.
Praying that things get better for you!
Do you have a room that you rent out? I had to do that when money was gone.
If you don't already have a job, you may have to consider getting one or even getting a second job. It is not what you want, but it could help you bring in the extra money you need. Many of us had to work while going to college and my ex husband went to college and worked two jobs in order to keep going before I ever met him to help his mom out.
If your fianc has lymphoma, he could watch the kids while you work. If he is living with you, how is he contributing?
Good luck concentrate on things you can do to work this out. Hugs.
I would second the suggestion you should declare bankruptcy. It's kinda like the 'surrender' an Alcoholics makes in Step 1 of AA.
Speaking of which, have you tried Debtors Anonymous?
Just a suggestion. I hope things improve for you.
((((hugs)))))
