that is because there are no checks on this second round. The increase will be in the paychecks of about 25 bucks a week, a second round of stimulus was never meant to be another check in your pocket

Unless you are on Social Security, or SSDI, or SSI, then you will receive an addition to your payment :

"President Obama recently signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. This act provides for the one-time payment of $250 to individuals who get Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or Social Security benefits.

We expect everyone who is entitled to a payment to receive it by late May 2009. No action is required on your part. "

O.K., I read something like what you said, but I've also heard something like people were supposed to get $400 single and $800 married. Now, if this $25 a week is going to happen, how is that going to help me, who was just recently unemployed. I've worked hard last year and up to that point and earned every dollar I made. Where do I come into the picture here?

If this $25/week is happening, then I'm upset due to the fact that our government is breaking their original promise. Mdews, it is true that once there was meant to be a $400/$800 check. I just wish I had some straight facts, that's all.
